We are a family from Prestwood with a little by that defied all of the odds to be here with us today and we are holding a fundraising day for his 1st birthday at the Polecat Inn, Prestwood.
The charity (Friends Of PICU) may be based in Southampton, however they are our nearest major children’s cardiac paediatric intensive care unit. Friends of PICU purchases valuable equipment needed in the treatment of critically ill children, including the specialist children’s intensive care ambulances
Cameron Aged 14 days On Full Life Support
used by retrieval teams to collect children from our local area – allowing them to receive the treatment they desperately need.
Our son Cameron suffered from a very rare condition causing him to have heart failure at just 13 days old, luckily we had already got him to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
Cameron urgently needed the care of the cardiac specialists at Southampton, they were called by the medical team at Stoke Mandeville and came to collect Cameron in one of the ambulances funded by this great charity.
Bring the family, come along and join us to have a fun filled day while raising money for a small charity that helps to save the lives of critically ill children, each and every day.
